LAHORE, Oct 26 (APP):Pakistan Furniture Council (PFC) Chief Executive Officer Mian Kashif Ashfaq on Sunday urged the government to establish state-of-the-art, international standard skill development centres to train youth on modern and scientific lines for producing world-class skilled manpower.
Chairing a meeting of the PFC Board of Directors here, he said Pakistan possesses immense talent and potential in the furniture and allied sectors; however, the lack of formal training facilities continues to hinder productivity and innovation. He said that dedicated centres equipped with modern tools, advanced technology, and professional trainers would not only improve craftsmanship but also help enhance exports by meeting global quality standards.
Mian Kashif Ashfaq said that through proper skill training, the youth could secure employment opportunities and contribute effectively to national economic growth. He added that international collaboration and public-private partnerships could further strengthen these initiatives, ultimately positioning Pakistan as a leading hub for skilled artisans and furniture exports in the global market.
