PFA unearths fake milk, khoya unit:

SARGODHA, Oct 08 (APP):The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) intensified its crackdown on food adulteration in the district, successfully raiding and shutting down two illegal units producing adulterated milk and khoya.
According to a PFA spokesperson, the operations were carried out under the supervision of Deputy Director Operations Shahbaz Sarwar, with an aim to ensure the public receives pure and safe food.
In Bhalwal, a fake milk production unit was raided for adulterating milk using dry powder (skim milk powder).
Meanwhile, in Sahiwal, another illegal facility was found preparing adulterated khoya by mixing it with vegetable ghee (banaspati ghee).
During the raids, the authority destroyed 200 litres of fake milk, 500 litres of skim milk powder, and approximately two maunds of adulterated khoya. All machinery and equipments used in the production process were seized.
Cases have been registered against the operators of both units at the respective police stations.
