MULTAN, Jul 01 (APP):In a decisive operation against food adulteration, the Punjab Food Authority (PFA) unearthed a factory producing fake milk in Basti Allahabad, near Budhan Shah chowk in Kahror Pacca.
According to official sources, the factory was using hazardous chemicals, cooking oil, and whey powder to manufacture synthetic milk, intended for distribution to local milk shops.
The operation resulted in the seizure of a large quantity of harmful materials and equipments used in the production process.
The team seized 85-kg of whey powder and chemicals, 55-kg of cooking oil and 15 empty packing bags.
A case was got registered against four individuals and one person was arrested by the
police on the spot.
