PFA seizes 310-kg spoiled camel meat in Multan

MULTAN, Aug 12 (APP):The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) confiscated 310-kg of spoiled and foul-smelling camel meat from a meat shop located at Shah Rukn-e-Alam, Ansari Chowk in Multan.
The operation was led by Additional Director Operations, Aamir Iftikhar, in collaboration with officials from the Livestock department, under the special directives of Director General PFA Asim Javed.
During the inspection, the team discovered putrid, discolored meat unfit for human consumption, which was immediately discarded on the spot to prevent public health risks.
A case was got lodged against the shop owner for storing unhygienic meat and also arrested one suspect.
Those playing with public health will face strict legal action, said a spokesperson for the Punjab Food Authority.
