RAWALPINDI, Oct 30 (APP):Punjab Food Authority (PFA) Rawalpindi Division seized 10,000 litres of counterfeit cold drinks during a raid in Hassanabdal, following secret information and days of surveillance.
According to a PFA spokesperson, the counterfeit beverages, falsely branded under a popular label, were destroyed at the Hassanabdal dumping site.
The authority also sealed the storage warehouse, which was operating without a valid PFA licence. Samples of the seized products have been sent to the laboratory for further testing.
The spokesperson added that a province-wide crackdown against substandard and fake beverages is underway. Citizens have been urged to report any related complaints via the PFA helpline 1223.
