BAHAWALPUR, Feb 24 (APP):The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) imposed fines totaling Rs 125,000 on eight food
business owners for violations of the Food Act.
The PFA Bahawalpur said here that food safety teams carried out operations and
inspected several food outlets. Fines were imposed for the sale of expired beverages
and biscuits.
During the operations, 543 liters of substandard beverages, 170 liters of milk, and 1,200 sachets
of gutka were confiscated and destroyed, they said, adding that the food safety teams inspected
eight different food points and imposed fines totaling Rs 125,000 on eight food business
owners for violations of the Food Act.
