BAHAWALPUR, Oct 01 (APP):A team of the Punjab Food Authority (PFA) seized several kilograms of dead poultry.
According to official sources, the PFA received information that dead hens—those that had died at poultry farms or during transportation—were being delivered to various eateries in the city.
Acting on a tip-off, a PFA team set up a checkpoint near the Baghdad-ul-Jadid Police Station, where they intercepted a vehicle transporting the dead poultry. The team confiscated the decomposed meat and disposed of it.
Legal proceedings had been initiated against those involved, and investigations are ongoing, the officials said.
