GUJRAT, Feb 02 (APP): The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) conducted operations across the district, completing a total of 153 inspections.
According to a PFA spokesperson, 64 food outlets were issued improvement notices,
while 13 units were fined a total of Rs 170,000 for violations of food safety regulations.
In addition, three samples were collected for laboratory analysis, two FIRs were
registered, and five shopkeepers were suspended for serious violations.
During the operations, food safety teams also seized and destroyed 0.1 kilograms of prohibited food items.
