PFA conducted crackdown on adulteration, 1030 milk shops inspected in monthly report

RAWALPINDI, Jun 30 (APP):Punjab Food Authority (PFA) Rawalpindi has shared its monthly report about the quality of milk being sold in the city on shops.
This month, 1,030 milk shops were checked and inspected PFA spokesperson said.
According to Authority, 29,22,000 liters of milk were checked from shops across the city.
During the operation, 24,000 liters of milk mixed with water were destroyed, he added.
Whereas, 238 milk shops were imposed fine for supplying substandard milk.
Fines of Rs 5,291,000 were imposed on the basis of supplying adulterated milk.
Milk is blessing undoubtedly and adulteration in milk is a crime.
Citizens should contact the helpline 1223 in case of any complaint, he concluded.
