CHINIOT, Oct 21 (APP):Punjab Food Authority (PFA) Chiniot on Tuesday, has launched a strict crackdown against establishments involved in the business of unhealthy food in Chiniot, these were on the directives of the DG Food Authority.
According to APP correspondent, during the inspections, two water plants were shut down due to the presence of harmful bacteria in the drinking water. The authority took strict action against the violators, imposing fines of Rs 100,000 for serious breaches of food safety laws.
Deputy Director Operations Dr. Muhammad Qasim Raza led the inspection drive, focusing on poor sanitation, storage arrangements, and the non-availability of medical supplies for employees.
Authority’s crackdown on unhealthy food establishments is part of its broader efforts to protect public health. By enforcing food safety laws and regulations, the authority ensures that consumers have access to safe and healthy food products.
