GHAZI, Dec 28 (APP):Assistant Commissioner Ghazi Junaid Aftab Sunday said that the government is fully committed to ensuring a peaceful, orderly and dignified return of Afghan refugees, with all possible facilities being provided to ease the process.
He expressed these views while visiting Afghan refugee camps, where he briefed Afghan nationals about the repatriation mechanism and reviewed the arrangements in place.
During the visit, the Assistant Commissioner met with camp elders and residents, informed them about the government’s policy, procedures and available facilities, and stressed the importance of timely cooperation with the authorities.
He also inspected repatriation arrangements and facilities, directing officials to further improve coordination. It was shared on the occasion that more than 15,000 Afghan refugees have already returned to Afghanistan from Haripur during the past month as part of the ongoing government-led repatriation drive.
