PESHAWAR, Nov 12 (APP):Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sohail Afridi, has said that the ongoing peace jirga will pave the way for a durable solution to the menace of terrorism in the province.
Addressing the jirga at the KP Assembly Hall, the chief minister emphasized the need for an “out-of-the-box” approach.
The chief minister stressed that politicians, with the support of all stakeholders, must formulate a long-term strategy.
“Peace is our top priority.
The people of the province, political leadership, police, and security forces have all rendered immense sacrifices in the fight against terrorism,” he said.
Sohail Afridi stated that the aim of the peace jirga is to collectively identify effective solutions, and the provincial government would fully implement the decisions made by the jirga.
He called for release of provincial shares under the NFC Award.
Concluding his address, Sohail Afridi expressed optimism that the peace jirga would lead to a lasting and practical solution to the challenges facing the province.
