LAHORE, Dec 01 (APP): Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) in its 49th meeting of current fiscal year, here Monday, approved a development scheme – Punjab Development Programme (Improvement of sewerage, Stormwater Drainage System, Street Pavements and Allied infrastructure in Kabirwala, District Khanewal at an estimated cost of Rs. 8,256 million.
P&D Board Punjab’s Chairman Dr. Naeem Rauf presided over the meeting.
The PDWP also approved position papers to increase gestation period of the following development schemes of sports sector: Establishment of sports complexes in Lahore’s areas of Rakh Shahdra, Singh Pura, Model Bazaar China Scheme, Gurumangat Road NA-126, Canal Bank near EME Society, Kahna, Shalimar, NA-119 and NA-120.
The meeting was attended by the board Secretary Rafaqat Ali, Chief Economist Masood Anwar, the board members and representatives of relevant departments.
