GUJRAT, Jul 28 (APP):The Pakistan Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (PCSIR) inaugurated a collection center at the Gujrat Chamber of Commerce & Industry (GtCCI) to provide local manufacturers with timely and cost effective sample testing
and technical services.
GtCCI President Muhammad Munir Peshawari formally inaugurated the facility in the presence of Group Leader Haji Nasir Mehmood; Dr Naheed Kausar, Member Science, PCSIR Head Office Islamabad; Dr Muhammad Tahseen Aslam, Director Marketing PCSIR; Engineer Abdul Wahab, Director PCSIR Daska; and executive members of the Chamber.
Peshawari welcomed the dignitaries and highlighted the Chamber’s role in industrial development.
He emphasized the importance of the center for key local sectors, including fans, ceramics, PVC, precast materials, soaps, detergents, and rice. He noted that manufacturers previously faced delays and costs when sending product samples to laboratories in other cities.
The new center at the GtCCI will enable local sample collection and timely report delivery, including on-site collection for ISO and PSQCA certifications.
The PCSIR center will also offer industrial research, technical services, training programmes, and technology transfer.
Peshawari expressed confidence that these services will benefit the regional industrial community and reaffirmed the GtCCI’s commitment to improving the ease of doing business.
