PBC elections: Haider clinches first position in Bahawalpur

BAHAWALPUR, Nov 02 (APP): Advocate Zeeshan Haider secured the first position in the Punjab Bar Council (PBC) elections held in the Bahawalpur district.
According to unofficial results, a total of 11 candidates contested for three PBC seats from the district. Among them, Advocate Zeeshan Haider, Advocate Muhammad Afzal Dharala, and Advocate Umar Mahmood emerged victorious.
Advocate Zeeshan Haider clinched the top position with over 3,000 votes, while Advocate Afzal Dharala secured 1,900 votes to take the second position, and Advocate Umar Mahmood obtained 1,800 votes, finishing third.
A total of 7,535 lawyers were registered as voters in Bahawalpur, and over 7,000 exercised their right to vote in favor of their preferred candidates. Polling stations were set up at the Judicial Complex, Civil Courts, and High Court premises for the smooth conduct of the elections.
