LAHORE, Nov 02 (APP): The Pakistan Association of Urological Surgeons (PAUS) has announced that it will host its Silver Jubilee International Urology Conference in Lahore from November 7 to 9 at a local hotel, bringing together leading urologists from Pakistan and around the world.
In a statement issued on Sunday, Prof. Dr. Khizar Hayat Gondal, Head of the Urology Department at Lahore General Hospital (LGH) and President of PAUS, said that special pre-conference training workshops will be organized on November 5 and 6 at various hospitals across Lahore. These workshops will offer hands-on training by international experts on the diagnosis and treatment of urological diseases using the latest medical technologies.
Prof. Gondal elaborated that on November 5, a workshop on prostate disorders will be held at LGH, while another on kidney stone management will take place at Services Hospital. On November 6, specialized training sessions on various urological conditions will be conducted at Sheikh Zayed Hospital, Shalamar Hospital, and PKLI.
He added that during the main conference, renowned urologists from Pakistan and abroad will present their research findings and clinical experiences, enabling young doctors to stay aligned with global standards and scientific advancements in the field of urology.
Prof. Khizar Hayat Gondal emphasized that the primary goal of the conference is to promote research, enhance training, and encourage the adoption of modern treatment techniques in urology—initiatives that will strengthen the skills of young medical professionals and ultimately benefit patients across Pakistan.
