LAHORE, Oct 07 (APP):A delegation of leading Pakistani food exporters, led by Saif-ur-Rehman, Coordinator to the Federal Tax Ombudsman, departed for Dubai on Tuesday at the invitation of UAE investors to explore avenues
of collaboration and joint ventures in the food sector, particularly in the export of internationally competitive Pakistani snacks.
In a statement issued prior to departure, Saif-ur-Rehman said the delegation would hold a series of business-to-business (B2B) meetings with prominent Emirati investors, food chain representatives, and wholesale market leaders. The discussions will focus on promoting Pakistan’s high-quality snack products and other value-added food items that have gained recognition in global markets for their distinctive taste, hygiene standards, and affordability.
He said that Convener of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) Regional Committee on Food, Shahid Imran, is also accompanying the delegation to finalize on-the-spot understandings with counterparts in Dubai.
Saif-ur-Rehman added that the delegation would explore opportunities for long-term supply contracts, joint manufacturing facilities, and regional distribution networks to meet growing demand in the UAE and the wider Gulf region. Leading business forums in Dubai have assured full cooperation to facilitate these meetings.
He expressed confidence that the visit would open new doors for Pakistani food exporters, strengthen bilateral trade, and enhance Pakistan’s share in the multi-billion-dollar food market of the Middle East.
