RAWALPINDI, Nov 24 (APP):The Police on Monday provided foolproof security for the fourth T20 match between Pakistan and Zimbabwe at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, a spokesman said.
City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Hamdani, Senior Superintendent of Police (Operations), Senior Superintendent of Police (Investigation), the Chief Traffic Officer, divisional superintendents of police and other officers supervised the arrangements throughout the match.
The spokesman said the CPO reviewed the security measures in detail during his visit to the stadium and issued further instructions on the spot.
He added that more than 5,500 police officers and personnel were deployed for security duties, while over 350 traffic officers worked to maintain smooth traffic flow in the surrounding areas.
The spokesman said a safe and orderly environment had been ensured for cricket fans and both teams, adding that the Rawalpindi Police remained committed to providing strong security and a pleasant atmosphere throughout the
cricket series.
