MULTAN, Jun 23 (APP):A skills development camp of Pakistan Under-19 cricket team has started in Multan with 31 players taking part in the eight-week programme aimed at preparing the side for upcoming international assignments, including the tour of England and the ACC Men’s Under-19 Asia Cup.
The camp was being held at the Inzamam-ul-Haq High Performance Centre, where the players will undergo training to improve their skills and fitness. During the camp, the players will also feature in practice matches at Multan Cricket Stadium.
The camp will conclude in August, after which the Pakistan Under-19 squad for the England tour will be announced. Pakistan Under-19 team was scheduled to tour England from September 2 to 16 and will play one four-day match and four one-day matches during the visit.
The camp was part of Pakistan Under-19 team’s preparations for a busy season ahead, which also includes the ACC Men’s Under-19 Asia Cup. Pakistan will enter the tournament as defending champions after beating India by 191 runs in the final played in Dubai on December 21, 2025.
Out of the 31 players selected for the camp, 10 had represented Pakistan in the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup held in Zimbabwe earlier this year.
