ATTOCK, Sep 13 (APP):Pakistan Navy sailor Muhammad Nafees, who embraced martyrdom while defending the country’s maritime frontiers, was laid to rest with full military honours in his native town of Jand, Attock district, on Sunday.
A smartly turned-out contingent of the Pakistan Navy presented a guard of honour and offered a final salute during the funeral. The national flag-draped coffin of the fallen sailor was consigned to earth amid solemn military protocol.A large number of officers from the Pakistan Navy, Pakistan Army and police attended the ceremony, along with local notables, relatives and residents.
The gathering paid tribute to the sailor’s sacrifice and offered prayers for his elevation.Participants expressed solidarity with the bereaved family and lauded Muhammad Nafees’s courage and devotion.
