Under the dynamic leadership of PM Shahbaz Sharif and Field Marshal General Syed Asim Munir, Pakistan inflicted a humiliating defeat on an enemy many times larger in May last conflict, adding this historic success raised the stature of our country and nation across the world, and the respect for Pakistanis increased globally.
Engr Amir Muqam said that Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, in a short period of time, brought the country out of isolation and brink of bankruptcy and put it back on its feet.
Before the current government came into power, inflation had reached up to 40 percent, he said. Due to PM Shehbaz Sharif’s day-and-night efforts, inflation fell from 40 percent to 4 percent and if God willing, inflation will come down to negative, and the entire nation is praying for this.
The federal minister said that the Prime Minister’s laptop scheme is not just a laptop for youth rather, it is a means of providing skills, education, and employment to the youth.
He said Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif’s passion is to empower and dignify the youth, and his vision is to make students and young people stand on their own feet.
Engr Amir Muqam said that, like Punjab, there should be opportunities for higher education in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa similar to Danish schools for children and youth.
He said people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have been affected by terrorism, and they need opportunities for education and employment.
He said the provincial government should also invest in the youth, adding during the previous government, the laptop scheme was discontinued.
“Laptops are a necessity for youth and a requirement of the times, but unfortunately the previous government stopped it.”
Engineer Amir Muqam said that this year, under the Prime Minister’s laptop scheme, 900 students of Abdul Wali Khan University will be provided laptops on merit.
He praised former Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Amir Haider Khan Hoti, for establishing such an excellent university in Mardan during his tenure, which today is educating the youth of the province.
The federal government has supported Abdul Wali Khan University in every era and will continue to provide full support and cooperation in the future as well.
The federal minister said that the provincial government is criticizing him, asking what Amir Muqam has to do in universities. Engr Amir  Muqam said that he is here on behalf of the federation to distribute laptops to students.
He said leadership of provincial government should also have the courage to visit universities and distribute laptops to students.
He said they should empower the youth by providing them with skills, education, and employment, adding youth should not be misleaded and pitch against institutions.
He said our forefathers, through a referendum, included this province in Pakistan and nurtured this country by offering their blood.
He said the people and youth of this province were with Pakistan, are with Pakistan, and will continue to stand with this country in the future with their sacrifices.
