ABBOTTABAD, Jun 22 (APP):The District Administration Abbottabad on Monday organized a painting competition titled “Paint Abbottabad” aimed at promoting civic awareness, environmental protection, and creative expression among citizens.
The event was held at the Women and Children Hospital Abbottabad, where children, youth, men, and women participated enthusiastically and showcased their artistic skills through wall paintings on various social themes including cleanliness, water conservation, tree plantation, and environmental protection.
The main objective of the activity was to raise public awareness and encourage environmentally friendly behavior through creative expression. Participants presented meaningful messages through colorful and attractive artwork on walls.
On the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Abbottabad Sarmad Saleem Akram, Assistant Commissioner Abbottabad Afraisiab Zubair Handal along with SP Cantt Hamza Ali Butt visited the event and reviewed the arrangements. DMS Women and Children Hospital Dr. Iram briefed the visiting officials about the event.
The Assistant Commissioner appreciated the artwork of the participants and said that such activities play an important role in promoting civic sense and highlighting the creative potential of youth.
The district administration announced that similar painting competitions will also be organized in Havelian in the near future to provide more opportunities for youth to express their talent and promote positive social messages.
