Dera Ismail Khan , Jan 03 (APP):Assistant Commissioner Paharpur, Dr Hamid, visited several government schools in the Awan area to review academic standards and administrative arrangements.
During the visit, the assistant commissioner checked the attendance of students as well as teaching and non-teaching staff, and conducted a detailed assessment of the quality of education being imparted.
He also examined the availability of furniture and other basic facilities in the schools to ensure a conducive learning environment. Interacting with students, Dr Hamid asked questions from different subjects to gauge their understanding and learning outcomes.
He advised students to focus on conceptual learning rather than rote memorisation, stressing that a strong conceptual foundation would enable them to play a positive and effective role in society in the future.
The assistant commissioner emphasised the importance of balancing knowledge with practical application and urged students to give equal attention to both. He also directed teachers to take proactive and effective measures to further improve educational standards in government schools.
Dr Hamid reiterated the district administration’s commitment to enhancing the quality of education and ensuring better facilities for students across the tehsil.
