PAC reviews audit reports of Home, Tribal affairs Dept

PESHAWAR, Nov 27 (APP): The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly conducted a detailed review meeting on Thursday regarding the audit reports of the Home and Tribal Affairs Department for the financial year 2018–19.
The meeting was chaired by Committee Chairman and MPA Idrees Khattak, and attended by MPAs Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani, Anwar Khan, Abdul Salam Afridi, and Ikram Ghazi. Senior officials including the DIG Frontier Police, Director General Audit, and representatives from the Finance and Law Departments were also present.
The committee examined each audit objection individually, seeking clarifications from the concerned authorities.
Officials presented relevant evidence, recovery details, and reports on actions taken regarding each audit point.
Following the review, several minor objections were settled, some were decided upon, while a number of cases were deferred for further examination.
The committee directed the Home and Tribal Affairs Department to fully computerize its receipts and expenditure systems to strengthen transparency and improve financial oversight.
It also instructed officials to attach DSC proceedings with future working papers.
