PAC hold Pictorial exhibition to commemorate Syed Ali Shah Geelani’s third death anniversary

RAWALPINDI, Sep 01 (APP):The Punjab Arts Council organized a photographic exhibition on Sunday to mark the third death anniversary of Syed Ali Shah Gilani, a prominent figure in the freedom movement of occupied Kashmir.
Mushal Hussein Mullick, Chairperson of the Peace & Cultural Organization and wife of Hurriyat leader Yasin Malik, inaugurated the exhibition as the Chief Guest.
Addressing the participants, Mushal Hussein Mallick emphasized the enduring significance of Syed Ali Gilani’s legacy, stating, “We are Pakistanis, and Pakistan belongs to us.” She reiterated that this powerful slogan by Syed Ali Gilani will continue to resonate until occupied Kashmir is liberated from illegal occupation.
Describing Syed Ali Gilani as a symbol of revolution and resilience, she highlighted his lifelong struggle under captivity, house arrest, and curfews imposed by the occupying Indian forces.
She further condemned the Indian regime’s actions, including the brutal treatment of Syed Ali Gilani’s family and the imposition of a curfew during his burial.
He exposed the so-called democracy of the Indian Hindutva regime to the world.
Mushal Hussein Mallick also underscored that Syed Ali Gilani was more than just a person; he represented a movement and a revolution.
She praised his unwavering dedication to the cause of freedom, expressing confidence that his name will be etched in history in golden letters. She expressed her gratitude to the people of Pakistan, particularly the Punjab Arts Council, for their tribute to Syed Ali Gilani.
Member of the Punjab Assembly, Shazia Rizwan, also paid tribute to Syed Ali Gilani, describing him as a steadfast advocate against India’s illegal occupation and a fervent supporter of Kashmir’s accession to Pakistan.
She highlighted his tireless efforts in raising awareness about the atrocities committed by Indian forces, human rights violations, and the freedom struggle in Kashmir.
She also noted Syed Ali Gilani’s contributions as an author, with 21 books to his name, including Rudad-e-Qafas, Nawa-e-Hurriyat, and Bharat Ke Istemari Harbe.
In recognition of his invaluable services, the Government of Pakistan awarded Syed Ali Gilani the highest civilian honor, Nishan-e-Pakistan.
The exhibition attracted a large number of attendees from surrounding cities, reflecting the enduring respect and admiration for Syed Ali Gilani’s legacy.
