LAHORE, Sep 16 (APP):A delegation of investors from Portugal led by Overseas Pakistani Dr. Mohammad Sohail met Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan at the Governor’s House, here on Monday.
Investment in health and renewable energy sectors was discussed in the meeting.
Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan said that Pakistan is a safe country in terms of investment and the government is providing special investment facilities to foreign investors through the Special Investment Facilitation Council.
He said that development in the country depends on development in industry and trade and international investment. The Governor Punjab said that the government is committed to increase investment by introducing investor-friendly policies. He said that the investment from friendly countries in various sectors including agriculture and energy is welcomed. He said that all sectors of the economy are open for investment with attractive incentives and liberal policies to provide favorable business environment to investors. He further said that overseas Pakistanis are the pride of Pakistan who are playing an important role in the country’s economy through foreign exchange.
The delegation comprised Dr. Sohail, Tiago Silva Falcao, Sueny Dliveira, Jose Paul Maroues, Manuel Antonio Sousa and Chaudhry Aurangzeb.
