PESHAWAR, Feb 23 (APP): Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Information Shafi Jan on Monday said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has approved a Ramazan Support Package worth Rs 12 billion to provide relief to more than one million poor families during the holy month of Ramadan.
In a statement, he said that under the package, each deserving family will receive Rs 12,500 through direct digital payment to the head of the household, ensuring transparency and timely disbursement of funds.
Shafi Jan said that special priority will be given to the most vulnerable segments of society, including destitute families, widows, orphans, persons with disabilities, transgender persons, and people affected by natural disasters.
He added that the Ramazan Support Package reflects the provincial government’s commitment to supporting underprivileged citizens during the holy month and easing their financial burden amid rising living costs
