SARGODHA, Feb 26 (APP):Deputy Commissioner Husnain Ahmed Raza Chaudhry on Thursday said that the district administration successfully distributed over 50,000 Nigehban Ramadan cards among deserving families under the Chief Minister’s Punjab Maryam Nawaz relief initiative.
According to a spokesman for district administration, the DC informed that out of 83,889 identified beneficiaries, 75,306 individuals were declared eligible for the program.
He stated that the district received 55,353 cards so far, of which 50,842 were already handed over to the identified families, while the remaining 4,471 cards would be delivered within the next 12 hours.
Providing a tehsil-wise breakdown of the distribution, the Deputy Commissioner noted that 13,615 cards were distributed in Sargodha tehsil, 10,563 in Kot Momin tehsil, 7,271 in Sahiwal tehsil, 6,316 in Silanwali tehsil, 5,267 in Shahpur tehsil, 3,916 in Bhera tehsil, and 3,894 in Bhalwal tehsil.
He emphasized that the distribution process was being carried out with complete transparency and merit under strict supervision to ensure the facility reaches the genuine deserving people.
Husnain Ahmed Raza Chaudhry added that the Nigehban Ramazan Card serves as a significant relief measure for the vulnerable segments of society, further commending the field teams and officers for their hard work in ensuring the speedy completion of the task.
