Over 4,500 police personnel deployed for Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) security
RAWALPINDI, Aug 25 (APP):City Police Officer (CPO) Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera held a meeting to review security and traffic arrangements for Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) at the Police Lines Headquarters on Tuesday.
The meeting was attended by the R.O. CCD, SSP Operations, SSP Investigation, SPs, SDPOs, SHOs and other senior officers.
More than 4,500 police officers and personnel will perform security and traffic duties across the city during the religious occasion.
According to Police spokesperson, comprehensive security arrangements have been made for 108 Milad processions, including the central procession.
Special traffic management measures will also be implemented to facilitate citizens and ensure smooth movement of traffic.
CPO Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera said that only designated entry points would be allowed for access to the processions.
He directed officers to ensure effective security arrangements while maintaining law and order and minimizing inconvenience to citizens.
The CPO further emphasized that strict compliance with the code of conduct issued for Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) would be ensured.
He said foolproof security arrangements had been put in place for the occasion and that the police would remain vigilant to ensure peace, security and public convenience throughout the celebrations.
