BAHAWALPUR, Oct 16 (APP): The police teams of several police stations of the district have arrested over 40 suspects and recovered narcotics and weapons from them.
A spokesman for Bahawalpur police said here that acting on tip-off, the police teams of the police stations including Police Station (PS) Sadar, PS Hasilpur, PS Yazman, PS Cantt, PS Khairpur Tamewali, PS Qaimpur, PS Kotwali, PS Baghdad-ul-Jadid and others conducted raids at dens and took over 40 suspects into custody.
He further said that the police recovered narcotics from the possession of the suspects including 15,000 grams cannabis, over one kilogram crystal ice, over 2,000 grams heroine and over 38 kilograms hashish.
He said the police also recovered weapons from the possession of the suspects including 26 pistols, two rifles, three repeaters, one carbine, one Kalashnikov and dozens of bullets.
