LAHORE, Oct 23 (APP):The District Administration Lahore has launched an aggressive campaign to ensure the availability of essential commodities at government-notified prices, acting under the directives of Deputy Commissioner Syed Musa Raza.
Teams comprising Assistant Commissioners, Price Control Magistrates, and other officers are actively inspecting markets and shops across the city to enforce official price lists.
According to official figures, 20,189 inspections have been conducted so far this month.
The administration imposed fines exceeding Rs. 2.63 million, registered 189 FIRs, arrested 132 violators, and sealed two commercial properties found guilty of profiteering.
“Profiteers and hoarders will be dealt with an iron hand,” said DC Lahore Syed Musa Raza, emphasizing 100% implementation of official price lists.
