DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Aug 28 (APP):The district administration Tank on Thursday conducted an operation against encroachments in the city’s main bazaar, removing several illegal stalls.
According to district administration the operation was carried out on the special instructions of Deputy Commissioner Tank Tanveer Khattak.
The operation was supervised by Additional Assistant Commissioner (Revenue) Faheem Ullah and Additional Assistant Commissioner Tank, Malik Sajid Ali Khan.
They were accompanied by Naib Tehsildar Arman and officials from the Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) also took part in the operation.
During the operation, unauthorized stalls, sheds, and items placed outside shops were removed from the main road.
Similarly goods from several shopkeepers were confiscated, and legal warnings were issued, while fines were also imposed on some violators on the spot.
According to the District Administration, the action was taken to ensure public convenience, improve traffic flow, and facilitate pedestrian movement in the market.
Authorities made it clear that occupying government land and encroachments were offenses and will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
