Operation against Afghans with fake IDs launched

PESHAWAR, Dec 24 (APP):An operation has been launched against Afghans and refugees involved in obtaining fake Pakistani identity cards.
According to official sources on Wednesday, security and law enforcement agencies have become active in this regard.
As per details, special teams comprising officials from the FIA, police and NADRA have been formed to carry out the operation.
Raids are being conducted in various areas and markets, including Chowk Yadgar, Khyber Bazaar, Atta Market, Currency Market, Ashraf Road, Namak Mandi, Peepal Mandi, Sabzi Mandi, Khushhal Bazaar, Peshawar Board Bazaar, Nasir Bagh, Latifabad, Charsadda Road, Ring Road and surrounding localities.
Sources said that several Afghan refugees allegedly involved in illegally obtaining Pakistani identity cards have been arrested from Atta Market, Chowk Yadgar and other markets. The suspects have been shifted to undisclosed locations for further investigation.
Authorities said the operation against those involved in fake identity card networks will furter be intensified including in business hubs.
