FAISALABAD, Oct 22 (APP):Advisors to Punjab Ombudsman Aslam Hayat and Nawaz Khalid said that open courts help in bringing justice at doorsteps of the masses and the people should approach these courts for easy access to the justice.
They were speaking at the open courts arranged at Sandal Bar Law College, Postgraduate College Jaranwala and Assistant Commissioner’s Office Jaranwala.
Speaking on the occasion, Advisor Aslam Hayat said that Punjab Ombudsman is actively working at all levels to resolve public problems promptly.
He said that purpose of open courts is to make access to justice easier for the citizens and promote transparency within public offices.
He urged the citizens to directly approach the Ombudsman’s offices both at provincial and district levels for immediate resolution of their issues. The complaints would be addressed without unnecessary delay, he added.
Advisor Nawaz Khalid said that open courts help strengthen public trust in government institutions and timely resolution of grievances would enhance overall governance and service delivery.
Advisor Aslam Hayat warned government officials that negligence in addressing public complaints would not be tolerated as Punjab Ombudsman is committed to provide timely and effective relief to the people.
During open courts, the citizens presented a range of complaints and many of them were resolved on the spot by following directives issued to concerned officers.
Assistant Commissioner Jaranwala Aurangzaib Goraya, Chief Officer Municipal Committee and officers from various government departments were also present in the open courts.
