One killed, 2 escaped in encounter with Wah Saddar Police
RAWALPINDI, Jan 16 (APP):A suspect was killed in the shooting with a team of Wah Saddar Police Station while his two accomplices escaped on early Thursday morning.
According to a Rawalpindi Police spokesman, the three accused riding on two motorcycles were signaled by the Wah Saddar Police team during snap checking, but they started firing on the police. In the retaliatory fire, the accused Bilal alias Misal Khan was killed while the other two managed to flee while firing.
Raids were underway to arrest the absconding suspects, the spokesman said.
The deceased suspect Bilal had been declared a proclaimed offender in a murder case registered by the Wah Saddar Police. He had also been involved in several cases of vehicles theft, drugs, attempted murder and other heinous crimes.
City Police Officer Rawalpindi Syed Khalid Hamdani lauded the Station House Officer Wah Saddar and his team for bravely confronting the accused.
