ATTOCK, Jan 15 (APP):At least one person lost life and 12 others were injured in a series of separate road accidents and a firing incident reported from different parts of the district on Thursday.
The Rescue 1122 sources said that a fatal road accident occurred on the CPEC Kohat Road where a Hiace van collided with a Shehzore vehicle.
As a result, eight persons sustained injuries.
Rescue 1122 Jand dispatched two ambulances to the scene and shifted the injured to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital (THQ) Jand after providing first aid.
One of the injured, Haseeb Ali 32 years old later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital, they added.
The other injured included Nadeem (26), Muhammad Yousaf (27), Muhammad Riaz (70), Mehmood (44), Ghulam Abbas (30), Abdul Rauf (45) and Zahoor Khan (33).
In another incident on GT Road near New City Paradise, Burhan, a collision between a Hiace van and a dumper left four persons injured.
The Rescue 1122 Hasan Abdal team rushed to the site and shifted the injured to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital (THQ), Hasan Abdal. The injured were identified as Shafiq-ul-Hassan (62), Muhammad Yousaf (43), Rizwan (29) and Muhammad Hakmeen (47).
Separately, in People’s Colony, Attock, a 54-year-old man, Zahoor Ahmed Shah, was injured when unknown assailants opened fire, leaving him with a bullet wound to his leg.
The Rescue 1122 shifted the injured to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) .
The police registered a case and initiated investigations into the incidents.
