MUZAFFARGARH, Feb 28 (APP):A notorious drug dealer was killed in an alleged encounter with CCD Police in Layyah on Saturday.
The suspect,identified as Muhammad Yameen was wanted in connection with multiple narcotics-related crimes and had a long history of drug trafficking in the region.
Police sources confirmed that Yameen r/o Khan Garh in Muzaffargarh,had been residing in Layyah for the past six years.
During this time,he was allegedly involved in supplying hashish and crystal meth (ice) to youths in hostels and educational institutions.
Acting on intelligence regarding his location, CCD Police conducted a raid.
According to authorities,an exchange of fire occurred during the operation and Yameen was killed.
Narcotics were reportedly recovered from the scene.
Further investigation was underway.
