LOWER DIR, Jan 06 (APP):The District Administration has launched a formal operation for the repatriation of Afghan refugees residing in Sub-Division Timergara, following special directives issued by Deputy Commissioner Lower Dir, Muhammad Arif Khan.
Acting on these instructions, Assistant Commissioner Timergara, Zaid Safi, has begun the process by serving official notices to 60 Afghan refugee families currently living in the area.
The notices clearly state that all Afghan nationals who have not yet vacated must complete their relocation by January 8, 2026.
The Assistant Commissioner warned that failure to comply within the stipulated timeframe will result in legal action, for which the responsibility will lie solely with the concerned individuals.
He further emphasized that the district administration is ensuring the implementation of this process in a systematic, transparent, and lawful manner, strictly in line with the prevailing government policy.
The district administration has reiterated its commitment to maintaining order while carrying out the operation smoothly and responsibly.
