QUETTA, Jan 05 (APP):Balochistan Minister for Communications and Works (C&W) Mir Saleem Ahmed Khosa on Monday said that no negligence of any kind would be tolerated in the standards of ongoing development projects and suspended two executive engineer officers of the department due to poor performance.
He expressed these views while presiding over a meeting on the progress of ongoing development projects in the province.
On this occasion, Secretary Communications and Works Lal Jan Jafar, Chief Engineer, Chief Engineers, Officers and other relevant officials of the Communications and Works Department were also present.
The meeting was given a detailed briefing regarding the progress of ongoing development projects in the province.
Addressing the meeting, the C&W Minister said that if the infrastructure of the province is to be improved, more stringent decisions would have to be taken in the Communications and Works Department.
He said that the role of the Communications and Works Department is very important in the development and prosperity of the province, the better development and prosperity of infrastructure in the province depends on the better performance of the C&W Department.
Provincial Minister for Communications and Works Mir Saleem Ahmed Khosa said that the performance of the C&W Department needs to be further improved.
He said that although progress on development projects is going well, I still see a slowdown and this kind of laxity is intolerable.
The Provincial Minister for Communications and Works further said that the Chief Engineers and SEs should regularly take stock of the progress of ongoing development projects and submit their progress reports.
The Provincial Minister said that the development and prosperity of the province, the improvement of infrastructure and the provision of modern facilities to the people of the province, whether in the roads sector or the building sector, are the responsibility of the C &W Department and it should be our goal to fulfill this responsibility in a good manner.
