FAISALABAD, Apr 08 (APP):Deputy Commissioner Capt (retd) Nadeem Nasir has instructed that no manhole or drain should be left without a cover in the city.
In this regard, the concerned agencies should keep a close eye and cover the manhole if any is found open at any place.
Chairing a meeting here on Wednesday, he said that there will be no compromise on the safety of citizens.
He said that security measures should be ensured around the ongoing projects for upgrading the sewerage system under WASA and such places should be identified and covered properly in addition to informing the citizens about the projects.
Earlier, he took a briefing from the Assistant Commissioners on the ongoing work of dewatering and making the sewerage-affected areas safe.
He also sought a plan for deep cleaning of THQ hospitals under the Suthra Punjab program.
He urged to improve the cleanliness at general bus stands and other public places.
He also stressed on speeding up the ongoing work of cleaning green belts and beautification of the city.
