ZHOB, Feb 12 (APP): Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti clarified that no final decision has been made regarding the administrative status of Sherani district, dismissing reports of its possible dissolution as unfounded.
Speaking to tribal elders and local notables during his visit to Zhob, Sarfraz Bugti emphasized that the provincial government will not take any step concerning the district’s status without consulting local representatives and the public. He reaffirmed that maintaining public trust remains a top priority of his administration.
Sarfraz Bugti explained that discussions at higher levels had taken place regarding the prolonged absence of certain administrative officers in Sherani and issues related to determining the district’s headquarters. He assured that any ambiguities would be addressed through mutual consultation and dialogue.
The Chief Minister announced that a detailed meeting will soon be convened with Sherani’s local MPA, tribal elders, residents, and district administration officials to comprehensively review administrative matters and strengthen governance.
