LAHORE, Dec 27 (APP):The Punjab government has introduced a new electric bike scheme aimed at providing travel facilities to teachers across the province.
Under this initiative,teachers will be able to purchase e-bikes by paying an initial installment, with the remaining amount to be paid through institutional channels.
Provincial Education Minister,Rana Sikandar Hayat described the scheme as a significant relief for teachers, highlighting that the government was prioritizing their convenience and welfare.
He also mentioned that a proposal to provide free scooters to female teachers is under consideration.
The Education Minister added that,following the directions of the Chief Minister,a special package will be developed for female teachers to provide them with safe,affordable and convenient transportation.
Minister Hayat emphasized that improving transport facilities for teachers was crucial for the enhancement of education quality in the province.
He assured that the government will continue to take practical steps to improve the education sector and address teachers’ concerns.More details on the scheme will be released in the coming days.
