NAWABSHAH, Jun 09 (APP): In a spirit of compassion and solidarity, the National Disability & Development Forum (NDF) Pakistan, in collaboration with Iltizam Relief Society Malaysia, successfully conducted a large-scale Zabiha Qurbani event in Nawabshah.
A total of 5 cattle and 34 goats were sacrificed, and the fresh meat was distributed among deserving families in flood-affected villages across the region.
The Zabiha event was personally observed by Mr. Muhammad Shah, CEO of Iltizam Relief Society Malaysia, and Mr. Shahrul, Country Manager Pakistan. Both dignitaries appreciated the efforts of Mr. Tariq Hussain Channar, Program Manager at NDF Pakistan, and his dedicated team for organizing the event efficiently and with dignity.
“This Qurbani is not just a religious obligation but also a powerful act of service, made possible through the generous donations of the Muslim Ummah via the LaunchGood fundraising platform,” said Mr. Muhammad Shah. He further commended the long-standing partnership between Iltizam Relief Society and NDF Pakistan, highlighting joint efforts in areas such as food distribution, shelter, WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene), and the rehabilitation of children with disabilities in Sindh province.
Mr. Tariq Hussain Channar emphasized that this annual Zabiha initiative is a regular tradition of both organizations to support families who cannot afford to perform Qurbani. “We are committed to reaching the most vulnerable households and ensuring they receive good quality fresh meat at their doorstep — with dignity, respect, and ease,” he said.
Iltizam Relief Society reaffirmed its commitment to continue supporting NDF Pakistan in its humanitarian mission to uplift needy communities and empower persons with disabilities across Sindh.
