QUETTA, Jul 29 (APP): Balochistan Governor Jaffar Khan Mandokhel said that the National Commission on the Status of Women (NCSW) should expand its activities to the rural areas of Balochistan so that women could create and assert their status.
He expressed these views while talking to Noreen Bano, member of the NCSW at the Governor House Quetta on Tuesday.
The Governor said that social equality and economic independence of women is commendable, women are the adornment and dignity of human society, and it is our responsibility to protect all their rights and powers.
He said that our women are as talented and sociable as women in other provinces of the country, but unfortunately we have not provided all the facilities and opportunities to women.
He said that even today, the vast majority of women are dependent on men in all matters of life due to their economic hardship.
He said that every intelligent and conscious person in society should play their part to ensure the protection of all the rights and powers of women, especially economic independence.
