QUETTA, Aug 5 (APP): Adviser to the Chief Minister on Climate Change and Environment, Naseem ur Rehman on Monday appealed to the international community to take notice of the serious violations of human rights in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and compel India to ensure the right of self-determination of the Kashmiri people.
On occasion of Youm-e-Istehsal Kashmir, he said that it was our national responsibility to raise our voice to highlight Indian atrocities and continuous violation of human rights in the IIOJK.
The Adviser also led a rally which was taken out from Deputy Commissioner Office Quetta and culminated at the Provincial Assembly building after passing through different roads of the city. A large number of people belonging to different walks of life including members of civil societies, tribal elders, students, teachers and scholars participated in the rally. The participants of the rally carried banners in their hands with slogans written in favor of the Kashmiri brothers and against the atrocities of India.
Addressing the participants, the Adviser to the Chief Minister said that on August 5, 2019, the usurper government of India abolished the special status of Kashmir and believed that their occupation of Kashmir was for ever. It is a misconception of the Indian government that it can deprive the Kashmiris of their right to self-determination through violence and brutality, he said adding that the abrogation of Article 370 and 35A by the Indian government on August 5, 2019 was an illegal and unconstitutional move that undermined the rights of self-determination of the Kashmiri people.
He said that the international community should take notice of Indian atrocities in Kashmir and save the region from the devastation of a big war by ensuring the right to self-determination to Kashmiris.
The participants of the rally raised slogans and said that Kashmir will remain Pakistan and the relationship between Pakistanis and Kashmiris is eternal.
