PESHAWAR, Sep 08 (APP):The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Peshawar Circle in a major operation on Friday arrested five suspects, including officials of the National Database Registration Authority (NADRA) and private persons, over the issuance of illegal Computerized National Identification Cards (CNICs).
On the directives of Deputy Director Saad Ullah Khan, a team of FIA Peshawar conducted a raid on different offices of NADRA and arrested the accused who were involved in making fake ID cards.
The arrested accused included a deputy assistant director, superintendent, and senior executive at different NADRA offices.
The FIA was interrogating the accused, and more arrests were expected based on their identification, an official of the FIA said.
