ISLAMABAD, Oct 24 (APP):Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq Friday paid rich tribute to the martyrs of Kashmir on the occasion of the 78th Foundation Day of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
He lauded the unwavering courage and steadfastness of the Kashmiri people in their just struggle for freedom and expressed complete solidarity with the oppressed Kashmiris of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
The Speaker said that the Foundation Day of AJK is in fact a day to pay homage to the valiant struggle of the Kashmiri people who have kept the flame of freedom alive despite decades of oppression.
Ayaz Sadiq also said that the unwavering determination and sacrifices of the Kashmiri people in their pursuit of the right to self-determination are truly commendable.
He said that the Kashmiri people have offered countless sacrifices for their cause, and their struggle and courage will be remembered in golden words in history.
Ayaz Sadiq reiterated that the freedom of Kashmir is an inseparable part of the completion of Pakistan’s independence and remains deeply embedded in the hearts of the Pakistani people.
The Speaker urged the international community to fulfill its moral and legal obligations by playing an effective role in resolving the long-standing Kashmir dispute in accordance with the United Nations resolutions.
He remarked that the grave human rights violations being committed in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir are a test and trial of the global conscience.
“The international community,” he said,” must take immediate and effective steps to stop the ongoing humanitarian crisis and ensure justice for the oppressed Kashmiri people.”
Reaffirming Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to the Kashmir cause, Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq stated that Pakistan will continue to extend political, moral, and diplomatic support to the Kashmiri people at all regional and international forums.
He said that the Parliament and the people of Pakistan stand shoulder to shoulder with their Kashmiri brothers and sisters in their just struggle for self-determination.
