MULTAN, Jun 03 (APP):A sanitation plan has been devised in the city to ensure exemplary cleanliness arrangements during Eid-ul-Azha.
According to the spokesperson for the Multan Waste Management Company (MWMC), a one-time “Clean-up Operation” has been launched across the city as part of pre-Eid preparations.
The sanitation drive is being expanded to cover not only central Eidgahs and mosques, but also graveyards and public parks under a special “Mega Sanitation Operation.”
Multan Waste Management Company (MWMC) Chief Executive Officer Abdul Razzaq Dogar had formed special monitoring teams to monitor the cleanliness operations.
For the first time, private contractors had been hired under the outsourced waste management system which will also participate in the campaign.
He mentioned that leaves of all sanitation staff and officers had been cancelled for Eid holidays to ensure uninterrupted cleanliness services throughout the festive period.
