Muzzammil Aslam calls for more cultural events in Khyber Pakhtunkwa

PESHAWAR, Nov 15 (APP): Provincial Advisor for Finance Muzzammil Aslam on Saturday visited the Vintage Classic Car Show in Peshawar where more than seventy antique vehicles were displayed.
The event was organised by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority. Cars from 1935 to 1980 reached Peshawar as part of the sixteenth annual rally which began in Karachi and passed through Rahim Yar Khan Lahore and Swabi.
The exhibition featured Rolls Royce Cadillac Mercedes Chevrolet Porsche Ferrari Mustang and other classic models while traditional rabab and Khattak dance added colour to the event.
Speaking to the media Muzzammil Aslam said such events should be held regularly as they promote positive activities and highlight the beauty and culture of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He said the long running event has brought thousands of people together on one platform and its popularity is increasing every year.
He said the rally participants wanted to visit Khyber but permission could not be granted due to the situation not being fully clear.
He added that events like this should also be organised in areas where conditions need improvement. Muzzammil Aslam invited people from all over country to visit Peshawar noting the hospitality of its people its famous cuisine and the natural beauty and Gandhara heritage of the northern regions.
