RAJANPUR, Jul 15 (APP):Provincial minister for Mines, Sher Ali Gorchani said peace in the district among across the province was the result of mutual efforts of all the stakeholders.
While presiding over a meeting at the local district complex here Monday, the minister informed the government was making all-out efforts to maintain law and order across the province like in the district.
He said foolproof arrangements for religious congregations and processions were devised by the district authority. He said they’re monitoring the security arrangements for the sacred events at the direction of the Chief Minister (CM) Punjab.
He said the district had adopted exemplary security arrangements like happened in others of Punjab.
He said the district government was vigilant to cope with any emergency-like situation in case emerging in future.
He directed to implementation of the SOPs for the provision of municipal services at majalis and processions effectively.
Deputy Commissioner Dr Mansoor Ahmed informing the minister about the number of processions and majalis, said there were 217 majalis with 517 processions due to be held in the ten days of Muharram.
The meeting was attended by DPO, MPA Khizr Hussain Mazari, Peace Committee’s members Abid Hussain, Mahmood Ahmed Qasmi,Abu Bakr, Ahsan Shamsi, Abdul Samad, Allama Noorul Hasan, Allama Jameel Ahmad, Abdul Rasheed, Ayaz Bukhari, Shamsher Haider, Muhammad Hussain Faridi, Maula Bakhsh, Maulana Aziz Akbar, Syed Abdul Rehman, Ghulam Mustafa, Maulana Muhammad Yunus, ADCG Safatullah, Assistant Commissioners of the three tehsils Aamir Jalbani, Zulqarnain Saleem and others participated.
